San Diego
The title is: CABRILLO LIGHTHOUSE (15" x 20").
The first digital art work I created for the San Diego Series was the Cabrillo Lighthouse. It is one of San Diego’s great historical monuments with vantage points of downtown San Diego, North Island and the Pacific Ocean. The lighthouse was first lit on November 15, 1855 and it was in use until March 23, 1891.
The scene I photographed and referenced is approximately ten years ago. Since that time the National Park Service has reconstructed two additional buildings that originally existed at the time the lighthouse was built but was not in existence when I photographed the monument and painted the art piece. Therefore, the work shows a window in time that literally no longer exists.

Window Reflections
The title is: Psychic Reader (24’ x 18”) one of 30 images from the Window Reflections Series, which has taken me through several different downtown areas of California such as San Diego, La Jolla and Beverly Hills and Paris France. For many years I have been exploring the various reflections on these different storefront windows.
What makes the Psychic Reader image so intriguing is its multi-layered statement. On the first level is the reflections of an urban street interacting with the window signage. Then on the second level is the social context of applying medieval methods to interpreting a contemporary time period.
